ONTARIO IS HOME TO THE WORLD'S BEST FRESHWATER SHIPWRECK DIVING!

Ontario is home to the World's Best Freshwater Shipwreck Diving!

To celebrate the World's Best Freshwater Shipwreck Diving, the Ontario Underwater Council (OUC) originally created the OUC Shipwreck Directory, powered by Google Earth. The goal is for the OUC Shipwreck Directory to be the single most comprehensive, and interactive, online directory for Ontario shipwrecks.

Version 2.0 of the OUC Shipwreck Directory included the following information:

  • Name of the Ship / Site
  • Ship and Site Information
  • Text description
  • Links to OUC member businesses and clubs, additional information, websites, and videos
  • GPS - OUC confirmed (where noted)
  • Ability to submit New Wreck Sites, or Add to Existing Sites

With Version 3.0, the OUC has increased the directory to now include dive information related to Diving in Ontario.

The Dive Ontario Directory now includes:

  • Shipwreck Directory
  • Shore Dive Directory
  • Boat Launch Directory
  • OUC Dive Community - OUC Clubs, Retailers, Charters
  • and may include other directories in the future

In version 3.0 and up, of the OUC Dive Ontario Directory allows for automatic updates to be sent to you at a fixed interval when Google Earth is running or immediately when you log on to Google Earth. You are able to change the refresh interval to meet your requirements.

>> Getting Started

First, if you don't currently have the current version of Google Earth installed on your computer, you will need to download your free version found here Google Earth.
